iGaming Business – The Ligue de Football Professionel (LFP), which operates the French football league, has announced sanctions for dozens of players found to have breached rules on betting.
A total of 87 players have been punished for breaching rules set down by the LFP and the Fédération Française de Football, following an investigation led by French gambling regulator Arjel. The investigation is continuing.
The sanctions range from suspended bans to fines of between €500 ($680) and €1,500 and unpaid work to be carried out at their respective clubs.
