The Cache Creek Casino Resort has no worries today after a grass fire that erupted near the venue has been 100% contained. On Sunday, a fire was spotted just off Highway 16 in Yolo County with California firefighters able to contain the blaze in the early evening hours.
The fire started at around 4pm in the afternoon and almost 300 acres were affected. The fire affected older oak trees and by 6:30 pm, as much as 50% of the area was contained. The fire was 100% contained a short time later based on information provided by Cal Fire.
The casino is located close to the affected area, a section of the state that is know to burn a great deal historically, with the venue yet to be affected by such grass fires.
