iGaming Business – Henry Birch, chief executive officer of Rank Group, has declared himself pleased with the improvements the British gambling operator’s Grovesnor Casinos brand made during the 15 weeks to October 12, 2014.

The company reported that group revenue grew by 2% in the period and by 3% on a like-for-like basis.

This total revenue growth was boosted by a positive performance by its Grovesnor Casinos business, which registered both like-for-like and total revenue growth of 5% in the 15-week period.

Venue revenue increased by 3% during the period while digital revenue also jumped significantly by 71%.

In addition, Rank’s Mecca business saw like-for-like revenue increase by 1% in the period while total revenue remained level.

Digital revenue grew by 4% and spend per visit at venues increased by 2%.
