Spain-based distributor of casino gaming machines, Grupo Vid, has decided that it will renew its partnership agreement with Las Vegas-based, Aristocrat Technologies, Inc.
According to a press release…
The renewed contract will see the global gaming solutions provider’s offering of Salon games continued to be distributed and maintained in the Spanish market by the Málaga-headquartered distributor.
Extended reach:
Under the terms of the reestablished commercial agreement, along with Andalusia, also included are the exclusive distribution rights of Grupo Vid for the regions of Rioja, in northern Spain; Castille-La Mancha, in the central part of the country; and the Basque Country, an autonomous community in northern Spain. It’s combined area encompasses upwards of 35 percent of Spanish territory, over 27 percent of the national population and includes the Basque provinces of Álava, Biscay, and Gipuzkoa.
Longstanding relationship:
Commenting on the renewed partnership, Commercial Director for Grupo Vid, Pilar Mancilla, said…
“We have enjoyed the longest standing commercial relationship with Aristocrat since they first entered the Spanish market in 2008. The latest portfolio of Aristocrat Salon games is showing great promise in existing installations across Andalusia and, following recent upgrades to the player interface, we are optimistic that 2019 will see an even greater resurgence in their popularity.”
Non-casino business:
For its part, Aristocrat Sales Director for its non-casino business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Alfonso Sánchez, added…
“We are delighted that Grupo Vid has cemented its relationship with Aristocrat in this way and look forward to working even more closely with such a highly professional organisation to continue enhancing Aristocrat’s Salon offering.”
Tulalip Tribe business:
Aristocrat Technologies is the United States-based subsidiary of Australia ASX-listed Aristocrat Leisure Ltd and recently installed its first Tribal Lottery System (TLS) games at the Tulalip Resort Casino and Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Washington state. The new games, Wild Panda™ Gold, Birds of Pay™, Buffalo Gold Collection™ and Wild Lepre’Coins™ are the first games in the Pacific Northwest state provided by the gaming machine maker on the TLS platform.
New Las Vegas digs:
The U.S. arm has also opened a new $45 million 180,000 sq ft campus in Summerlin, Las Vegas. A significant uptick in business reportedly served as the catalyst for the firm to seek a new home in the Las Vegas Valley of Southern Nevada. The new facility reportedly consolidates a majority of the firm’s roughly 1,100 Las-Vegas employees at a single workplace.
Company growth:
The release of popular slot games such as Lightning Link and Buffalo has seen the firm take market share from industry leaders including IGT and Scientific Games over the years. The most recent versions of those games, including Dragon Link, have maintained their best seller status today.
