In Arizona, the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino’s 242 guest rooms are reportedly in the midst of a $3 million upgrade. The project began in July and is expected to be completed mid-December, according to AZ Big Media.

The news portal reports that the renovation includes everything from curtains to carpets at the Chandler casino’s hotel. All 242 guest rooms will reportedly receive new mattresses and luxurious updates throughout including motif, fixtures and furniture.

Upon completion, each room in the AAA Four Diamond Property will have LED lighting and a vibrant desert flower wall covering from floor to ceiling. The new furniture offering will include platform beds, built in light sconces and floating nightstands. The refreshed rooms will also feature a spacious layout, 40-inch TVs, mini refrigerators and USB ports that are easily accessed.

General Manager of the Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino, Jeff Martin, said the venue prides itself on giving its guests something new and the updated rooms are brighter and contemporary in style. Martin went on to say that the newly added amenities are sure to enhance customer’s stay experience.

Regarding a timeline for the project, Martin said that they are “on track to have all rooms completed by the holidays and look forward to showcasing them, especially on New Year’s Eve, which is one of our busiest nights of the year,” according to AZ Big Media.

The property is situated just off the I-10 freeway (exit 162) and is one of the biggest casinos in the state. Since the casino opened in June of 1995, it has gone through many incarnations, the latest of which was the addition of the hotel in October of 2009. The 242-room hotel features seven restaurants, more than 15,000 square feet of event space and three lounges. The 100,000 square foot casino offers over 950 slots, including a high limit area, more than 65 gaming tables and live poker and entertainment.

The facility is owned and operated by the Gila River Indian Community – Gila River Gaming Enterprises, Inc. – along with Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino in Laveen and Lone Butte Casino in Chandler.
