As the month of September begins, the Hollywood Casino Perryville will be getting ready to celebrate five years of operation. The casino was the first to be opened in Maryland, having first welcomed customers on September 27th of 2010. The casino is located off Route 222, which is close to three miles from Perryville.

The Hollywood Casino Perryville has a Hollywood style theme and began with only slot gaming. It was not until three years later that the casino was allowed to begin offering table games. Slot gaming and table games were a first for Maryland. In 2008, slots were approved after being outlawed in the 1960s with table games and poker earning approval in 2012.

When visiting the casino, players will have access to 34,000 square feet of gaming space which includes 850 slot games and 10 poker tables. There are blackjack, craps and roulette offered with the 12 table games of the property. Visitors can also enjoy dining, shopping and bar service.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary, the casino will be hosting community events as well as promotions throughout the month of September. Players can also win cash prizes with as much as $100,000 up for grabs.
