MGM Resorts International began charging for parking back in the summer months and now Caesars Entertainment Corp. has followed suit, with the launch of self-parking charges and valet parking later on this month. A new trend in Las Vegas is sprouting up where venues are charging for parking to ‘better’ the experience for guests as parking garages and lots are filling up quickly. Hooters Casino Hotel Las Vegas has announced they are not going to follow this trend and will continue to offer both self-parking and valet parking for free.
Michael Storm is the General Manager for Hooters Casino Hotel Las Vegas who stated that Hooters Casino is dedicated to providing the best overall Las Vegas experience for guests, whether visitors are from Las Vegas or from out of town. The MGM and Caesars properties are charging guests a price to park for valet and self-parking but do provide free parking to individuals who are from Las Vegas or members of their rewards programs.
Hooters announced they are offering incentives to those who parked and paid at other establishments by starting the hashtag #IParkedForFree. Guests who paid for parking at a garage on the Las Vegas Strip can bring their vehicle to the Hooters parking lot and take a photo, posting on Instagram or Twitter with the special hashtag, will earn a free beer when visiting the Hooters Lobby Bar.
Storm stated that free parking has been an institution in Las Vegas and a cornerstone as to what made the city unique and appealing. Hooters is proud to continue to carry that torch.
