The San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino recently launched a new linked bonus game thanks to a creation by Konami Gaming. The Smash Smash Festival fiesta-themed game launched on Cinco de Mayo at the casino and has been a big hit ever since. During the big debut, hundreds of players lined up to try the new game, which features six jackpot levels and random credit prizes.
The new game provides a twist on the traditional linked progressive. Instead of using incrementing meters, the game increases the number of mystery prizes in a winner-take-all format. Players at the casino were the first to be able to try the new gaming title and during the debut a live performance from a mariachis band made the day even more exciting.
San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino General Manager Loren Gill commented on the new game by stating the venue looks to offer an exciting experience for guests via gaming and entertainment. The casino is thrilled to be the first to unveil the new game as part of their already expansive gaming options.
During gameplay, players will randomly be given the opportunity to choose one of two piñata mystery prizes during a purchased spin. The piñata that is chosen will then burst open and reveal what prize the player has won. The remaining piñata stays a mystery and is added to the jackpot pool of piñatas that remain unselected.
Konami Gaming, Inc. Senior Director, Marketing and Product Management Steve Walther, commented on the new game as well stating that every player aims for the bonus to claim a mystery prize. When the prize is claimed, a big explosion takes place featuring coins and confetti, just like a fiesta. According to Walther, players have the chance to win a mystery piñata prize as well as a $5,000 gold jackpot.
Smash Smash Festival is offered exclusively within the Concerto Collection of video slots created by Konami. This includes the Concerto Slant and the Concerto upright.
