The Las Vegas Raiders franchise of the National Football League (NFL) has reportedly teamed up with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada in order offer its fans a new and affordable way to travel to home games.
According to a Wednesday report from local television broadcaster KSNV-TV, the pair are due to launch the special Raiders Game Day Express service to transport supporters to and from the 65,000-seat Allegiant Stadium. The source detail that this unique facility is set to begin on August 14 for the team’s pre-season friendly against the Seattle Seahawks before continuing for every one of its subsequent ten home contests.
Customer convenience:
The broadcaster reported that the Raiders Game Day Express facility has been modelled on the preceding Golden Knights Express service and will move gridiron football fans from five pick-up/drop-off points around the city to the NFL team’s home, which is colloquially known locally as ‘The Death Star’. It moreover explained that every journey is due to cost $2 although passes may be pre-booked via the state agency’s mobile-friendly RideRTC app.

MJ Maynard serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and she reportedly told the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper that this new bus service will help to ease traffic congestion around the city as the NFL side welcomes fans to the Allegiant Stadium for the first time since its 2020 move from Oakland.

This service will help further alleviate congestion in an already busy corridor benefiting both residents and tourists. We have been working closely with the Las Vegas Raiders to make this program a reality and are pleased it will be operational for the Las Vegas Raiders’ first season with fans at Allegiant Stadium.”
Deuce discretion:
Maynard reportedly furthermore told the newspaper that fans travelling to the impressive Allegiant Stadium from downtown or sites located along the Las Vegas Strip will still be able to utilize the Nevada city’s Deuce double-decker bus service. The transportation chief purportedly explained that this endeavor will drop travellers off at the parking lot for the 43-story Mandalay Bay from where they can walk across a pedestrianized Hacienda Bridge to the 62-acre American football stadium.

For his part and Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft reportedly told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the Raiders Game Day Express service should help to solve some of the transportation issues seen around Allegiant Stadium as part of the sold-out July 10 concert put on by American country music star Garth Brooks.
