A recently penned agreement will see online and land-based slot specialist Lightning Box provide its popular game content to Penn Interactive Ventures.
Via the deal with the online RMG and social casino subsidiary of Pennsylvania-based casino and racetrack operator Penn National Gaming, Lightning Box’s games will first launch on social casino apps Hollywood Casino, Viva Slots and Big Bonus Slots.
Chilli Gold, one of the Sydney-based supplier’s most popular video slot titles, will be the first to launch in Q3. Other Lightning Box games that will follow include Dolphin Gold, Silver Lion and respin Rhinos.
Commenting on the collaboration, Peter Causley, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Lightning Box, reportedly said that Penn National’s anticipated acquisition of Las Vegas-based gambling and hospitality company Pinnacle Entertainment would benefit the two firms by potentially cross-selling to a larger customer base.
He added, “This partnership with Penn Interactive will allow us to build on our already strong U.S. footprint with greater penetration in the online social casino space.
“Utilising their large player profile across numerous social and brick and mortar casino brands, we expect to form a highly profitable, mutually beneficial relationship in the coming months as we expand on our content provision,” said Causley.
Senior Vice President at Penn National Gaming and Penn Interactive Ventures Managing Director, Chris Sheffield, said, “Lightning Box’s gaming content is proven across real-money and social gaming platforms, and with its already established U.S. credentials, we look forward to working together for the foreseeable future.
“Adding their new, quality content will help us build on our already impressive customer base,” said Sheffield.
