The boutique casino hotel, Macau Louis XIII, is currently under construction with Louis XIII Holdings Ltd reporting the construction is occurring on schedule. The concrete casting was finished back in August and October saw the majority of the ‘inner skin’ curtain wall completed. The interior works are now taking place, with the completion of the property set for summer 2016.

In a six month time frame that ended on September 30th, the company continued to hire members of staff for departments of the facility. The property will be named Louis XIII and is located on the Cotai-Coloane border. In their latest filing, the venue was described as an exclusive luxury hotel and entertainment complex, with no wording on any gaming facilities to be included.

In previous information provided by Louis XIII Holdings Ltd, filings had mentioned plans for the property to include a casino, but in recent filings this is not mentioned. The firm seems to be focused on creating a ultra-luxury venue which will have a L’Ambroisie restaurant with 38 seats and an invite-only ‘haute couture’ atelier.

To be able to offer gambling at the venue, Louis XIII holdings would have to use the casino rights of a gaming concession holder of Macau, of which there are six. The group has not publicly named any gaming partner as of yet.
