After recently adding Reno-based Gold Coin Studios to its roster of exclusive studio partners and gambling software giant Microgaming has partnered with Portuguese gaming and hospitality company Solverde Group (Sociedade de Investimentos Turísticos da Costa Verde S.A) for its online casino and sports betting brand, Solverde.pt.

In addition to an initial 28 games that have been tailored to what is a rapidly-growing regulated market, the new partnership agreement will also see the group’s online interest, which is licensed by the Portuguese Tourism Gaming Regulation and Inspection Service, gain access to a selection of best performing titles from Microgaming’s lineup of exclusive independent game studios and content partners such as All41 Studios and Aurum Signature Studios. Furthermore, casinosolverde.pt will also be able to integrate additional games via the gambling software company’s aggregation platform in “the coming months.”

Key market:

Lauding it as the “beginning of a great relationship,” the new content deal with the Aveiro-headquartered company’s digital arm, which since being founded in 2017 has grown to become the largest online casino in Portugal, has been signed through Microgaming powered software services provider Prima Networks Limited (PNL).

The deal, according to the official press release, highlights the commitment by the Isle of Man-based company “to partner with the biggest and brightest operators in key regulated markets.”

“The regulated Portuguese online gaming market is proving to be a success story and Solverde.pt is playing a leading role in that narrative. This is just the beginning of a great relationship that will grow and grow as we steadily build our portfolio of titles for Portugal.”

Perfect match:

With just shy of five decades of casino, tourism, and leisure expereince,  Solverde Group is currently responsible for five brick-and-mortar casinos, including Casino Espinho, the Algarve Casinos (Vilamoura and Monte Gordo), and Hotel Casino Chaves, and four hotels across the southern European country. Meanwhile, its digital arm, Solverede.pt, offers 1,200-plus online casino games, in addition to sports betting, which the operator incorporated into its online domain in 2020.

Also commenting on the new collaboration, Director at Solverede Group, Américo Loureiro added that they are “pleased” to partner with “such an experienced and pioneering online game supplier” and consider Microgaming a “perfect match” for the company. The director went on to say that they’ve been operating casinos for almost 50 years and have the largest online portfolio in Portugal with over 1,200 casino games “available anytime, anywhere at Solverede.pt.”

Gold Coin Studios:

The deal as mentioned follows Microgaming’s exclusive distribution agreement with Nevada-based developer of online real wagering slot style casino games, Gold Coin Studios, which has already rolled out a myriad of games powered by the award-winning platform, including Arthur’s Gold, which the up-and-coming games studio debuted in July 2020, and was followed by Aquatic Treasures, Animals of Africa, and the oriental-themed video slot, Bushi Sushi.

The studio’s 5th release, Silver Seas, was launched on May 20th and features Microgaming’s trademarked EpicStrike mechanic while the developer’s locomotive-inspired, Treasure Tracks, is slated to be released on July 8th, with additional content set to follow during the second half of this year and beyond.

Promising partnership:

Chief Executive Officer for Gold Coin Studios, John Duffy said they are “thrilled” to work with Microgaming and so far have had a “brilliant experience.”

For its part, Microgaming’s Director of Games Andrew Booth added that Gold Coin Studios has already given them “some great games” since joining the company last year and he is “looking forward to seeing them continue to cement their place in our roster of exclusive studios.”
