Online casino games developer, Microgaming, has announced that it will soon be expanding its portfolio of branded video slots with the launch of a second title themed around the popular Game of Thrones fantasy television series.

The Isle of Man-based innovator used an official Monday press release to declare that the premiere is due ‘later this year’ courtesy of a licensing deal it inked with American cable television broadcaster Home Box Office (HBO) Incorporated in February of 2014.

Advantageous alliance:

Microgaming has been exhibiting at this week’s International Casino Exhibition (ICE) London extravaganza and proclaimed that the coming Game of Thrones: Power Stacks video slot is being developed in partnership with Slingshot Studios and will feature personalities and characters from the award-winning television series leading competitors ‘on a new pursuit for rewards through the world of Westeros.’

Opening success:

Jean-Luc Ferriere, Chief Commercial Officer for the developer, used the press release to pronounce that his firm released its first Game of Thrones-themed video slot in December of 2014 with the advance, which can be enjoyed with 15 or 243 paylines, subsequently going on to become ‘immensely popular’. He explained that the coming title is set to join the company’s ‘award-winning portfolio of branded content’ that already includes this and other online casino games such as the five-reel Jurassic World, Bridesmaids and Playboy.
