Considered a “priority market,” Michigan expanded options for gamblers on Friday when it launched online sports betting and online gaming, and on the same day, NetEnt significantly grew its footprint in the burgeoning U.S. iGaming market after rolling out its titles with multiple operators.

Among the NetEnt titles available to the operators in the Midwestern U.S. state are Divine Fortune, Blackjack, and Starburst, each of which is already a player favorite in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia’s already regulated markets.

Widespread availability:

The anxiously-awaited move by the Michigan Gaming Control Board made possible the Evolution Gaming Group subsidiary’s games launch on January 22, 2021, with industry-leading operators, including WynnBET (Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians), William Hill (Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians), Golden Nugget (Ojibwa Casino & Keweenaw Bay Indian Community), FanDuel (MotorCity Casino), DraftKings (Bay Mills Resort & Casinos), Churchill Downs (TwinSpires Sportsbook/Island Resort & Casino), BetMGM (Roar Digital/MGM Grand Detroit), and BetRivers/Rush Street Interactive/Little River Casino Resort).

Commenting on the significance of the launch, Commercial Director, North America for Evolution, Jeff Millar, used a company presser to say…

“Friday’s successful launch with multiple operators is the result of months of planning for Michigan’s go-live and years of on-the-ground experience in the US.

“America is an absolute priority market for Evolution Group, which is reflected by the scale of NetEnt’s first-day presence in Michigan.”

U.S. presence:

The Swedish company’s entry into the Great Lakes State, further cements Evolution Gaming Group’s status as a leading operator in the U.S.

Millar added…

“We are poised to add more operators in all US markets during 2021 and have a roadmap of high-profile game launches. And, as we’ve once again shown, we’re ready for new markets being switched on and partnering casinos to offer a standout product to their players the minute they go live.”
