As Wynn Resorts works closer to the planned opening of the Encore Boston Harbor casino in late June, it has now been discovered that the property will include ferry transportation. Four boats are reportedly going to be running by the time the casino opens in little over a month, transporting as many as 35 passengers at a time across the water to the venue. The boats will board in the Seaport or at Long Wharf in the downtown region.
New Transportation Option:
The plans involving the ferry transportation were provided when Wynn Resorts posted public filings involving the opening of the new Encore Boston Harbor. Fares to use the special transportation will cost $7 to visit the casino. Those using the transportation option for downtown access or the Seaport will pay a smaller $5 fee.
Images of the new ferry boats show crisp white plush seating with wooden accents. The boat transportation looks quite comfortable with views available for passengers to enjoy as they make their way across the open water.

According to Boston Magazine…
There will be other non-driving options for visitors to the casino. Free shuttles will be provided from the Malden Center and Wellington. There is also a walking bridge from the assembly MBTA stop that will help players visit the venue.
Preparing for Opening:
For months now, Wynn has been preparing to open the casino by June, despite an ongoing investigation into the casino operator by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. The company had already secured a license for the property and were in the process of construction when the former Chief Executive Officer of the company, Steve Wynn, was accused of sexual misconduct. The license could have been lost as a result of the investigation. Fortunately, the Commission has agreed to allow the company to maintain their license and open in June.
The Commission completed their investigation and fined the company $35 million to complete a settlement involving the failure of the company to properly handle the allegations against Steve Wynn.
