A Denville, New Jersey grandmother set a new record for the longest craps roll and it was only her second time playing the game. She played an unbelievable 154 rolls of the dice, taking 4 hours and 18 minutes. The previous record was 3 hours and 6 minutes and was set almost twenty years ago in Las Vegas. According to statistician Michael Shackleford, Patricia’s feat was a 350 billion to one shot of occurring.
She bought into the game for $100 at around quarter after 8 that evening and no one knows how much she won by the time she sevened out about 12:30 am. Neither Patricia nor the casino would say how much she won but the casino served her a champagne toast at the end. She would only say that she plans to use some of the money to go to Disney World with her daughter and grandchildren.
When asked her secret, her comment was simply “when you relax about it, these things happen”.
