Beginning in March, travelers in Taichung will have direct access to Macau thanks to a new route provided by Tigerair Taiwan. The budget carrier, a subsidiary of China Airlines of Taiwan, announced yesterday that they would soon launch a service from Taichung to Macau to give passengers in the region a more convenient way to travel.
One round-trip flight will be offered per day by the expanding carrier beginning March 29. Gauging interest in the new service option, the carrier is offering promotional tickets from January 20 through January 25.
Starting at 10 a.m. on Jan. 20 to 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 22, the carrier will offer a round-trip ticket from Taichung to Macau for NT$2,538. This price is without taxes. The offer includes a free meal as well as an allowance for a 20-kilogram luggage.
Tigerair Taiwan already offers 30 flights each week between Taiwan and Macau, with flights leaving from Taipei and Kaohsiung. With the new route to Macau from Taichung, the airline will offer a total of 37 flights every week.
