On Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 the New York Jets explosive and exciting star rookie running back, Breece Hall, suffered a torn ACL and minor meniscus injury in the New York Jets 16 to 9 win over the Denver Broncos which will unfortunately end the 2022 – 2023 NFL season for Hall.
Also, during the New York Jets game versus the Denver Broncos last Sunday, the N. Y. Jets’ starting right tackle, Alijah Vera – Tucker, endured a season ending injury as well. Vera – Tucker endured a triceps injury that an MRI has now revealed will require surgery.
Between losing both Breece Hall as well as Alijah Vera – Tucker the New York Jets running game will definitely be affected, and the Jets offense will now be tested more vigorously especially with their young starting quarterback in Zach Wilson will be expected to produce more offensively if the New York Jets want to keep their amazing season going.
The 2022 – 2023 NFL Season for the New York Jets
Following years and years of poor football being demonstrated by the New York Jets, they have somehow come out this season and shocked the world by beginning the 2022 – 2023 NFL season with an overall record of 5 and 2.
No one saw this coming, and quite frankly it may have been too good to be true for those starting to believe that the N. Y. Jets could make the 2022 – 2023 NFL playoffs. Now while the New York Jets have been dealt a bad hand with these recent season ending injuries we will see what this team is made of, and if the Jets can sustain their winning ways this year or will they fall apart.
The New York Jets week 8 match – up is against their bitter AFC East rivals in the New England Patriots. Currently the New England Patriots are sitting at 3 and 3 prior to the Patriots Monday Night Football game versus the Chicago Bears on Monday, October 24th, 2022.
Media Statements
“He’s a heck of a football player,” the head coach of the New York Jets, Robert Saleh, stated. “When you lose great football players, it’s not good.”
“I didn’t even know what was going on, but I’m just in the huddle like, Where they at? It’s tough because all of those guys are great players. They’re all balling. But unfortunately, it’s part of the NFL, right? Guys stepped up, saw it was their opportunity and that this is where more money, more playing time and other things come for people,” the New York Jets starting quarterback Zach Wilson proclaimed. “That was really cool when the guys stepped up right there.”
