On Friday, February 19th, 2021 the New York Yankees and their veteran outfielder Brett Gardner have agreed upon terms on a one year contract valued at approximately $4 million. This new deal includes a player option for the second year, and if that player option is rejected then it becomes a team option for the 2022 MLB season.
