Leading omni-channel gaming company, Playtech, recently revealed that its Videobet subsidiary has extended its contract with Norway’s national lottery, Norsk Tipping, and will continue to provide the operator’s video lottery terminal (VLT) gaming system with system technology for an additional 10 years.
Sixteen-year relationship:
The extended partnership between the two industry leaders began in 2003, with Videobet’s VLT products and services now available in 1,000-plus retail outlets throughout the Norwegian country. The extension further emphasizes Playtech’s position as a top technology supplier in both regulated and newly regulated markets.
Open architecture:
According to a press release…
Videobet and third party content have been successfully operated by the system via an open architecture for upwards of ten years, with the Playetch subsidiary currently extending the open capabilities through the addition of support for Remote Game Servers. Last year saw the successful run of an HTML5 game pilot in partnership with Norsk Tipping.

Paddy Power Betfair extension:
Playtech recently agreed to another multi-year extension, further expanding its presence in the retail sportsbetting market after announcing a deal to continue supplying Paddy Power Betfair with software for the operator’s collection of self-service betting terminals.
