In New York, a third casino owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation, Yellow Brick Road Casino, now offers sports betting courtesy of the federally recognized tribe’s partnership with Scientific Games Corporation’s (SGMS) SG Digital division.

The deal that expands the locations where the Las Vegas-based company is powering sports betting in the Empire State comes on the heels of its recently inked ten-year agreement with the Turkish National Lottery.

According to a Tuesday press release

…the casino in Chittenango, New York is now live with a retail sportsbook making it the third Oneida Indian Nation-owned and operated facility to feature the venue, following the Nation’s flagship Turning Stone Resort in Verona, and at its 65,000 square foot Point Place Casino in Bridgeport that opened on March 1st, 2018,

Fully-loaded:

The $20 million casino at 800 W. Genesee St. (Route 5) in Madison County, just east of the Onondaga County line, is now fully equipped with OpenSports, Scientific Games’ modular sports betting technology suite.

New York state’s largest sportsbook at nearly 9,000 square feet, the venue can accommodate over 250 sports fans and features a custom-built 32-foot LED screen along with 35-plus additional large-screen TVs enabling all the action to be viewed from anywhere within the lounge.

NIGC approved partnership:

Commenting on the new partnership, which received approval in June this year from the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), Group Chief Executive for SG Digital, Jordan Levin, said…

“Our partnership with Oneida continues to highlight our strong early presence in New York State. Launching our third casino with Oneida brings a polished and player-centric sportsbook to even more players, and we’re excited to see the continued growth that results from this and further launches.”

Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises Chief Executive Officer, Ray Halbritter, said…

“OpenSports is empowering us to give our customers a top-notch betting experience, and we’re thrilled to bring a quality sportsbook technology to our Yellow Brick Road property, New York’s largest sports book. ”

Delaware Lottery partnership:

Following the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) in May 2018, Scientific Games, which boasts 35 sports betting customers in the United States and abroad, congratulated its longtime customer, the Delaware Lottery, as it became the first U.S. lottery to expand to full-scale sports betting.

The small Mid-Atlantic U.S. state previously offered legal sports betting on professional football and in June 2018, post-PASPA, expanded its offering to other sports.

The Lounge at Caesars Sports:

In July this year, the Oneida Indian Nation announced that it had entered into a new partnership with global gaming leader, Caesars Entertainment, to open sports books called “The Lounge at Caesars Sports,” at its three Upstate NY casinos.
