After being forced to shut down when its license expired in August of last year, PhilWeb Corp. is now back in action. The company was given the go-ahead to become a service provider after being reinstated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR).
According to agbrief.com, Philstar reported that the company has been given the approval to become a service provider of Electronic Gaming Systems after PAGCOR provided the company with the Provisional Certificate of Accreditation. With the certification, PhilWeb will be able to offer software and additional service options to operators who are licensed by PAGCOR.
PhilWeb must now wait for their gaming facilities and servers to be inspected before they will receive a notice to operate. Andrea Domingo is the CEO and Chairman of PAGCOR reportedly stated that the new process of accreditation will give operators more choice when it comes to service providers. The CEO stated that with more choice, operators will be able to choose which provider will better assist them in the operation of their outlets.
Dennis Valdes is the President of PhilWeb who thanked regulators for the approval. Valdes stated that PhilWeb is grateful for Chairman Domingo and the Board of Directors of PAGCOR for having faith in their company and giving them the opportunity to deliver services to operators of electronic gaming once again.
