Less than two weeks after launching its Honey Rush video slot and Swedish online casino games developer Play’n GO has now returned to announce the premiere of its five-reel and ten-payline Doom of Egypt successor.
The Vaxjo-headquartered innovator used an official Thursday press release to declare that its latest video slot is themed around the ancient civilizations of Egypt and ‘takes great care to remain faithful and respectful to its source material’ by featuring ‘detailed art and depictions in its symbols and reel design.’
Encouraging response:
Play’n GO stated that its four-row Doom of Egypt, which has a 96.2% return-to-player ratio, moreover brings the ‘power of ancient Egypt’ to video slots and has already received a ‘positive reaction’ following its earlier limited debut with a number of online casinos including Tipico.com and 32Red.com.
Popular premise:
Johan Tornqvist, Chief Executive Officer for the developer, used the press release to detail that the mobile-friendly title resembles last year’s Legacy of Egypt release while its debut means that his firm has now foregone the customary launch of a Halloween-themed game in favor of ‘more durable and longer-lasting titles’ that are sure to ‘have a longer shelf life.’
Read a statement from Tornqvist…
“Honey Rush and Doom of Egypt are two great games to which we knew the market would react. Rather than rushing out a game at this time of year for the quick holiday win, we’re putting more durable and longer-lasting titles out into the market that will do just as well and have a longer shelf life. There’s a place for themed games and always will be but we’re not going to force it. If we come up with a great game for the holiday, we’ll put it out, but we have plenty of titles that everyone will love no matter what time of year.”
