PokerStars recently finished up its Stadium Series, with the online poker room paying out over $52 million in prize money. This was the combined total after all the action came to an end. This number will increase once a final option is played on August 16, the Stadium Series After Party. This event has yet another $1 million+ guaranteed!

Stadium Series Details:

PokerStars launched the Stadium Series on July 5 and events continued throughout the month into early August. The last events began on August 2 and finish up just two days later. Players from around the world were able to compete, with amateurs and pros taking to the felt in the hopes of finishing in the money.

The schedule was full of online poker action, with events offering 8-max format, PKO, 6-max, deep stack and more. The operator offered three tiers and two tournament types, heats and finals. This was an interesting format and one that players took to as they competed in event after event during the series.

As part of the series, the $5,200 Stadium Series Grand Final was a tournament that everyone was waiting for. The event guaranteed $5 million in prize money with the top players set to go home with a big prize for finishing at the final table.

In the end, the tournament would close out with a three-way chop. Maxime Chilaud would take third place and earn just over $570k while Vlad Stojanovic would go out in second, earning just over $553k. Fernando Viana would take first, earning $721,235.

After Party:

As if the series was not enough, PokerStars is also hosting an after party. The Stadium Series After Party will take place in four events, with buy-ins of $1.10, $11, $109 and $105. Players will find these events will have guaranteed prize pools of $100,000, $250,000, $500,000 and $1 million respectively.

Players can enter the phases and earn a spot into the final where the big prizes will be awarded.
