On February 7, PokerStars is hosting the 50/50 Series Main Event. This tournament has a direct buy-in of $50, which makes it quite affordable. On top of that, the event has a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million! It is expected that this event will be massive, and it will not be surprising to see the prize pool shoot past its guarantee. Players have the option to qualify via satellites, with buy-ins starting at a super low price of $1.10!

Premium Satellite Action

Like most of its big online poker events, PokerStars is offering plenty of satellite action. With Phase satellites, players can work their way up to a seat to the 50/50 Series Main Event. The cheapest option is the $1.10 satellite.

Players can find this satellite listed in the lobby under $1.10 NLHE, Turbo Phase 1. Compete in this satellite and have chips by the 15th level of five-minute rounds and you move on to Phase 2. If you want to buy-in directly to Phase 2, it costs $1.10 as well.

Phase 2 offers 750 seats to the Main Event. This Phase will start on February 7 at 4:05 pm. If you are able to outlast the field and make it to the top 750, then you earn a seat! PokerStars is allowing players to compete in as many Phase 1 options as they like. However, only the largest chip stack will move forward when Phase 2 begins.

Additional Satellite Options

The Phase 1 and 2 options are not the only way you can win a Main Event seat. PokerStars is also offering up traditional satellites. These events have buy-ins of $2.20, $3.30, $5.50, and $1. The $2.20 event will take place at the same time as Phase 2 and will offer 100 seats to the Main Event guaranteed. The $5.50 takes place on February 7 at 5:05 pm and will offer 200 seats.

Players who make it to the Main Event will receive 25,000 in chips. The blinds will start at 125/250/30a. The blinds increase every 15 minutes during the first 32 levels. After that, blinds will increase every 20 minutes.

There is late registration in this event, so players have the option to re-enter up to three times. Players who last through Day 1 will move on to the conclusion of the event on February 8.

Michigan Launch

The upcoming 50/50 Series Main Event is just a small taste of what PokerStars has going on when it comes to the world of poker. The brand just launched in the US yet again, with the start of real money poker gaming in Michigan.

PokerStars is the first online poker site to offer services in the state. They are partnered with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Gaming Authority. Players in Michigan can now access the same great poker options that players in New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been experiencing for quite some time.
