After securing authorization from local regulator Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (LOTBA) earlier in the year, multi-product content provider Pragmatic Play has strengthened its position in the LatAm region, taking a selection of slots live in Argentina’s bustling capital city, while at the same time introducing its latest title, Smugglers Cove.
The Gibraltar-based provider was given the green light by the regulatory authority to provide content to service operators in the City of Buenos Aires in June 2021, and now, cherry-picked titles including the award-winning Gates of Olympus, Wolf Gold, Sweet Bonanza, along with various titles from the wildly-popular John Hunter series are now available to players in the largest and most populous Argentine province.
Key LatAm market:
Using a company news release to comment on the launch, Victor Arias, Vice President of Latin American Operations for Pragmatic Play, said they are “delighted” to hear that their “most exciting slot content” has finally gone live in the city of Buenos Aires.
“Local players will finally be able to get a real taste of what Pragmatic Play’s products provide, allowing us to build on our reputation while providing players with high-quality experiences.”
The roll-out is a positive step for the leading content provider as it continues to extend its footprint in key strategic Latin American markets, after being awarded the Best Game Producer at the Brazilian iGaming Summit for significant commercial activity in the region.
In related news, the leading content provider to the flourishing iGaming industry recently celebrated its smashing success at the 2021 EGR Operator Awards, dubbed “The Oscars of the eGaming,” held at Grosvenor House in London on November 25.
Pragmatic Play landed the prestigious Game of the Year award for its Greek mythology-themed title Gates of Olympus, which was released on February 24, 2021. The 6×5 video slot with 20 paylines sees symbols come tumbling down, paying in clusters of a minimum of eight in a unique “Pay Anywhere” system while also offering major multipliers on any spin, making for a highly volatile gaming experience.
At the same time as the announcement, the provider was busy launching its latest release, Smugglers Cove, a high volatility, 5-reel, 3-row slot with 20 paylines and a max win of 10,000x. Playable on any device, the swashbuckling spinner includes Bonus symbols, Extra Spins, random multipliers and more!
The pirate-themed video slot follows Christmas Big Bass Bonanza, which is the holiday version of the original, that was unleashed on December 14, 2020. Each of these titles was introduced after Santa’s Wonderland, along with the latest in the John Hunter series, the Egyptian-themed Book of Fallen, and what is sure to be a hit Super X, each of which joins Pragmatic Play’s award-winning portfolio of 200-plus HTML5 titles.
