After revealing in December that it would be among the first providers to have its award-winning portfolio of games go live in Sweden, Stockholm-headquartered game studio, Quickspin, announced Friday that 35 of its games have been officially certified for the Swedish market.

New rules compliant:

In June 2018, the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament) approved the government’s proposal to introduce a new licensing system to the Swedish market. Under the new Gambling Act, anyone operating in that gaming market is required to have an authorized license. The new law is applicable to games in the Scandinavian nation as well as games over the internet that target its market.

Thirty-five certified games:

According to the official press release from the Playtech subsidiary, while the Sweden-based casino game software company’s titles have been compliant in keeping with the new rules established by the Swedish Gambling Authority since January 1st, 2019, 35 of its innovative online slots games are now officially certified.

Preparing since fall 2018:

The firm‘s news release goes on to communicate that since early fall 2018, it has been preparing itself and its clients for the arrival and is “really proud” of what they’ve done and welcome the regulation with “open arms.” And that it “strongly believes” that in addition to being entertaining, online gaming should be safe and fair.

Agile Project Manager for Quickspin, Tomas Rybing, said…

“Quickspin’s proactive work and on-going support for our clients leading up to this regulation has been much appreciated by our clients. We couldn’t be happier to successfully complete this project with 35 certified games!”

Top-games offering:

Some of the most popular titles will be made available to players by way of its operator partners. Just a few of the provider‘s successful video slots include Second Strike, Wild Chase, Phoenix Sun, Dragon Shine and Sakura Fortune.

According to an earlier news release, players and Swedish operators will additionally be able to access Quickspin’s bonus provisioning and features, including ChallengesTournamentsAchievement Races and Achievements.

Two-game launch:

In addition to announcing its new video slot game featuring an Art Deco design, The Grand, in March, the slots specialist also revealed that it would be releasing two games this month, something that it has never done before.

“A classic fruit game in a modern package,” the first up will be Durian Dynamite on April 9, which will be followed two weeks later by Tales of Dr. Dolittle. The latter will be launched on April 25 and is based on the series of novels penned by British author Hugh Lofting, with the first published in 1920.
