Amaya Gaming first received approval to offer PokerStars and Full Tilt gaming to players located in the state of New Jersey via online gaming sites back in September of 2015. The approval was granted on the 30th and would have a six month time frame. Amaya officially launched PokerStars on the 21st of March and now Amaya has announced they have received a renewal of approval for their operations, for an additional six months.

On Friday, Amaya announced that the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement renewed their approval for the Full Tilt and PokerStars brands to operate online within the state. The company has estimated that since launching the PokerStars NJ site, the brand has contributed to the growth of real money online poker gaming in the state.

Quickly becoming a market leader, players have responded well to the quality of the gaming software as well as the choice of games, security and integrity of the platform. PokerStars has also seen great promise within their online casino gaming option.

Rafi Ashkenazi is the Amaya Interim CEO who stated that while it is still very early, Amaya is pleased with the initial launch of PokerStars in the state. The company is also pleased with the positive working relationship that they have with the DGE. The latest approval is guaranteed for a six month term and subject to further renewals.
