Russian Gaming Week Sochi is an international forum for representatives of gambling businesses and related industries. It will be held on the Sochi coast of Russia on October 27, 2016. Organizers continue to reveal details of the first ever conference to be held specifically for the new Russian gambling zone.

The cluster, with gaming venues to be located at Gorky Gorod ski resort among a select few other locations, is designed for 400 gaming tables and 8,000 slot machines with facilities taking advantage of the massive investment in infrastructure and development the government put into the 2014 Winter Olympics there. Sochi will eventually replace Azov-City as the gambling zone for the Krasnodar region of Russia.

RGW Sochi has been designed to explore and inform about important elements of the zone such as how it will be developed, what sort of benefits will be available to investors, facilitate an open dialogue between conference participants and authorities, bring attendees up to the minute on Russian gambling legislation, and more.

Leonid Borodin, gambling licensing consultant of Prospectacy LTD was interviewed recently by RGW Sochi in regard to bookmaking licenses in Russia. When asked his opinion on whether Russia needs to establish special licensing conditions for online bookmakers, he replied, “It certainly does. It is commonly known that Russia is the enormous betting market. Thus, it does require higher entry conditions. But in comparison with other jurisdictions, current requirements create the impression of decided preference for the largest operators. And some points regarding betting via means of communication need united actions of companies that are competitors according to all market laws,” said Borodin.

Among important and well-known speakers to be featured at the conference are a representative of the Sochi City Administration, a former director of the non-profit Association for the Development of gambling zone Azov-City, Konstantin Makarov – President of Bingo Boom, Sarkis Darbinyan, head of the digital rights center, and several others.

Among exhibitors at the event attendees can expect to find booths from иHtex (InTech) Meteobet, Prospectacy, Кси (KSI Corp) and more.

InTech was established in 2008 and their main focus has been the creation and installation of video surveilence systems for casinos and betting clubs. Meteobet is a software developer for lotteries and bookmakers. They will be presenting a new product for bookmakers. KSI Corp is Russia’s largest manufacturer and operator of gaming machines with a special emphasis on slot machines for the domestic and foreign markets. There will also be custom game and software developers, betting shop suppliers and more.

A full list of exhibitors and speakers will be available soon at RGW Sochi is presented by Smile-Expo, pioneers and continuing leaders in organizing gambling exhibitions and conferences in Russia and the CIS region.
