Poker pro Sam Greenwood is on a roll. After winning the April 18 World Poker Tour Amsterdam High Roller event and the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona on April 10, Greenwood has now taken down a third high roller win in April. The Toronto native outlasted the field of 30 poker players to earn the EPT Monte Carlo Super High Roller win, taking home €1,520,000 (US$1,839,200) for his efforts.

Once the competition narrowed down to the final two, it would be Greenwood and Christoph Vogelsang competing in heads-up play. Both are aggressive players, so it would be back and forth for some time. Heads-up play would last for around three hours before the Monte Carlo event would come to an end.

According to PokerStars Blog, the final hand would see both players all-in with Greenwood holding the chip lead. Thankfully for the pro, his King-Jack was able to stand up against Vogelsang’s Ace-five suited. Greenwood would claim the title with the pot win, earning his third High Roller victory in just one month’s time.
