High Rollers Week continues at GGPoker, with events finishing up this week and new tournaments starting over the weekend. Event #11 just finished up and it was poker pro Sam Greenwood who earned the win. The event was an NLHE Super High Roller Tournament with a $25,000 buy-in. Players were competing for $2.5 million in guaranteed prize money.

The field of the event ended up at 114 with Greenwood defeating a stacked final table to earn the win. He took on the likes of Fedor Holz, Sean Winter, Rainer Kempe, and Matthias Eibinger in the final round of the online poker event. In the end, it would be Greenwood and Eibinger going head-to-head to figure out who would claim the title win.

Chop Talk

Once Samuel Hunter was eliminated in third place, Greenwood and Eibinger would start the heads-up round. At this time, there had been talk of a chop. They eventually agreed to a deal and the stacks were moved to the middle so the final hands could go down.

The final hand would see Eibinger all-in on the button. Greenwood would call. Eibinger held 10-9 off suit while Greenwood held pocket jacks. The board fell A-A-3-4-5 which gave Greenwood the win this his pair.

Eibinger earned the largest portion of the prize pool, despite finishing in 2nd place because of the deal. He earned $583,698 for his efforts. After earning the final hand, Greenwood would walk away with the title and $548,769 in prize money.
