A brand new $300 million casino and hotel opens today at 11am in D’Iberville, Mississippi east of I-110 just across the Back Bay from Biloxi. The 15-story Scarlet Pearl Casino broke ground in July 2014 and beat opening day estimates by several weeks. The ribbon will be cut at 11am, a luncheon will be held for visiting dignitaries at noon in the Strand Events Center, and a celebratory fireworks display will be held for the community at 6pm.

Visitors to the property will find a state-of-the-art casino featuring 60,445-square feet of gaming space with 1,350 slot machines and 45 table games including Blackjack, Craps and Roulette, and a 10 table Poker Room. The new hotel offers 300 guestrooms and suites, including 10 Penthouses. The floor to ceiling windows are reported to have cost over $25,000 alone for each of the outfacing guestrooms. Additional amenities include several restaurants, one with a mighty oak in the middle of it. A buffet will open along with an Asian noodle bar called Chopstx.

Recreational amenities include a Garden Oasis lagoon pool stretching out among palm trees planted in early November. The 42,000 square foot Lava Links miniature golf course is a world class 36 hole adventure with a volcano as its centerpiece surrounded by luscious landscaping, and plenty of challenging twists and turns. Visitors can play all 36 holes or play 18 holes at a time. The golf course is handicap accessible.

Locals and visitors have been waiting 20 years for a successful venture to take off in D’Iberville and Scarlet Pearl seems to have all of the pieces in place to shine high above the Bay’s skyline for decades to come.

The doors are opening with lucrative offers for players, from a $500 cash back scheme on initial slot losses to matching all competitor free slot play and table game offers from opening day until December 30th (must present actual mailer from competitor).  Rated players can also bring in their tier cards from other Gulf Coast casinos and start out at their existing level – instant perks and comps.

For anyone traveling out of state to visit this location…. DON’T.
This is the worst case of false advertisement EVER! Do not waste your time with this business. Advertise they match your tier with other facilities; however made multiple excuses not to honor this advertised benefit. Additional advertised to bring people in to the New resort was an offer to match other’s free play offer; however again this was not honored with the excuse that you must have the paper coupon rather than online offers.(News FLASH people… Save a tree.. Not everyone receives paper offers!)
And all of this was discovered after a 45 minute wait in line to obtain a players card.
Then there was the pool… I hope this was a pool for people’s dogs that are traveling with them. It is located at the front door of the facility across from valet! I have seen nicer pools at Hilton & Marriott locations, yet they call this place a resort.
So essentially save yourselves a drive to this facility. As we entered there were 2 men leaving…as they stated “don’t waste your time, turn back now”, we thought they were joking.
Unfortunately they were COMPLETELY correct. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! This place is a joke !
Visit the gulf coast at a reputable casino.

We visited the new Scarlet Rose today and found it very refreshing and beautiful with it’s newness and brightness. We had no problems getting our comp dollars matched but are allowed only one match per day. Our longest wait in line was 25 minutes. I am a slot player and was very disappointed with the absence of the ‘older’ IGT slots. I am not a fan of the new video cartoon-like slots which seem to be ovetaking all casinos. The slots here are very tight but we had a nice visit and wish this new casino the very best..
