Scientific Games Corporation, a lottery service and casino equipment provider based in the United States, recently announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Tech Art Inc., a Las Vegas-based supplier of readers for hole-cards used in blackjack games. In a recent press release, Scientific Games stated the deal should close by the first quarter of next year.
According to GGRAsia.com, agreement terms were not revealed, however, it was disclosed that Scientific Games will be using Tech Art’s MAXTime 4H product. This product combines both a chip tray and hole-card reader for blackjack gaming. Along with this product, Tech Art will also be bringing its Bet the Bust and Super Fun 21 games to Scientific Games.
Scientific Games stated that they will have the opportunity to market the MAXTime 4H product on an international level due to the expansive distribution network of the company. The product will help casinos around the globe increase the speed of game play as well as enhance the security during blackjack games.
The Tech Art deal is the company’s latest acquisition. Back in September, Scientific Games announced they would be expanding their portfolio of digital games and online gambling options with the acquisition of NYX Gaming, at a cost of $618 million, which included debt of the company.
