Swedish daily fantasy sports and pool betting technologies provider Scout Gaming Group AB has announced that it will now be able to offer its products and services to operators in the United Kingdom after receiving a business-to-business license from the nation’s Gambling Commission regulator.
Extension to previous authorization:
The Stockholm-headquartered innovator offers external brands a customizable and flexible network-based daily fantasy sports solution and used an official Tuesday press release to detail that the license is an extension to the business-to-consumer authorization it already held from the Gambling Commission.
Innovator ‘delighted’ with license:
Andreas Ternstrom, Chief Executive Officer for Scout Gaming Group AB, declared that his firm’s daily fantasy sports solution can support most sports and leagues and utilizes an advanced in-house statistics system in order to provide players with a wealth of real-time information.
Ternstrom’s statement read…
“We are delighted to have been awarded a business-to-business license by the Gambling Commission allowing us to address yet another regulated market with great potential. Scout Gaming Group AB is a recognized leader in business-to-business solutions for fantasy sports and pool betting. To date we have signed twelve license agreements with operators, several of which are with existing operations in the United Kingdom where they now can introduce our services.”
A busy autumn:
Scout Gaming Group AB stated that it has approximately 70 employees spread across offices in Sweden, Malta, Norway and the Ukraine while last month saw it enter the budding American sportsbetting market via a partnership with Las Vegas-based counterpart Metric Gaming. This preceded a ‘follow-up agreement’ inked with Norwegian public service radio and television broadcaster NRK that is to involve it continuing to provide the state-owned entity with a free-play platform targeting winter sports.
