A little over a week after entering the budding American sportsbetting market courtesy of a deal with Metric Gaming and daily fantasy sports and pool betting technologies provider, Scout Gaming Group, has now announced an extension to its relationship with Norway’s public service radio and television broadcaster.

Product to target winter sports:

The Stockholm-based business-to-business innovator used a brief Tuesday press release to portray its latest arrangement with NRK as a ‘follow-up agreement’ that is to see it provide the broadcaster with a free-play platform targeting winter sports. It stated that the contract moreover includes an option that could see it continue this cooperation for the entirety of the 2019/20 winter season.

Initial trial proved successful:

Andreas Sundal, Chief Product Officer for Scout Gaming, declared that it was ‘very pleasing’ to have inked the deal to supply NRK with a fantasy sportsbetting product following the completion of an initial trial surrounding the 2018 FIFA World Cup that he detailed had attracted over 100,000 players to his firm’s platform.

Sundal’s statement read…

“The interest for our games gradually increases and I am pleased that NRK chooses to expand the cooperation. NRK is a leading sports producer and I’m particularly proud to be able to offer an engaging and entertaining product to NRK’s users. It is also encouraging that we are, once again, gaining confidence from a state-owned player since many of our prioritized customers are in that segment.”

Significant presence:

Scout Gaming Group explained that NRK held a 32% market share across its home nation last year while furthermore described the broadcaster’s domain at NRK.no as ‘the second biggest website in Norway’ thanks to its ability to typically attract some 4.9 million users each week.
