This holiday season just a little more festive with the announcement of the start of the start of Spain‘s Lotería de Navidad 2017, with €2.38 billion in raffle prizes!

While the Lotería de Navidad, also known as the Spanish Christmas Lottery, raffle draw won’t take place until December 2017, you can purchase your tickets now to ensure you have them on the day of the draw. For Spaniards, Lotería de Navidad has been a highlight of the holiday season since its first draw in 1812.

The annual raffle draw claims to offer the biggest lottery prize pool in the world, reportedly distributing €2.38 billion in prizes in what is a highly-anticipated yearly draw which can make up to 304 average Joes millionaires in a single night. Additionally, the Spanish Christmas Lottery also reportedly boasts odds of 1 in 6.5 of collecting a prize and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 100,000.

This year, an additional €70 million in prizes will reportedly be distributed, making Lotería de Navidad 2017 the most exciting one yet! Estimates indicate that 98 percent of all Spanish adults partake in the yearly event and that players worldwide can participate by buying their tickets at TheLotter. To be distributed in the draw are a total of 170 jackpot prizes each worth €4,000,000 and 170 second prizes worth €1,250,000 each will be distributed in the draw. The draw also includes 15,304 winning combinations. It is reported that in the raffle drawing on December 22, 26 million shares will collect prizes.
