To prepare dealers for poker and additional table games, the del Lago Resort & Casino has two open houses set for this month. Individuals who are interested in working at the casino, located in Seneca County, can attend the informational sessions to learn more about positions available.

The first session will take place on the 21st of August at the Magee Firehouse from 2 to 8 p.m. the second session will take place on the 24th of August at the Clyde Firehouses from 2 to 8 p.m. During both sessions, individuals interested in employment will be able to meet with the leadership team of the casino and learn more about the positions available. The casino will be offering applications for admission into dealer school, with around 480 positions for training available.

The casino dealer school will be free to those chosen during the application process and will see classes taking place five days a week for six to ten weeks. The classes will last around four hours each day. Individuals who complete the dealer school training will be able to then apply for a position at the casino. Auditions will need to take place during the hiring process. Individuals are not required to have previous experience in the casino industry to attend the info sessions or the dealer school.

General Manager of Del Lago as well as Executive Vice President, Jeff Babinski, stated that the upcoming information sessions and dealer schools will result in the hiring process for several hundred dealers, with the majority coming from the local area of Seneca County and Finger Lakes region. The construction of the casino resort is taking place according to schedule and the venue looks forward to a grand opening in February of next year.
