Spanish police have released news on Thursday that a clandestine casino in Madrid, Spain has been raided and shut down. The notice made no mention of the date of the action.
According to reports, legitimate casinos tipped off the police who then began surveilling the downtown Madrid location. The casino was fronted by a smoking club that greeted visitors with porters. If a visitor had an invitation they would be escorted down to the gaming rooms through two security doors with an air lock.
One room was reserved for VIP gamblers only and the other held eight tables.
Police said to day that they have identified 100 people. Cash and equipment were seized.
