The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino of Las Vegas has been abuzz with activity over the past few weeks as the 2017 World Series of Poker has been in full swing. Each week, events finish up and new events begin, with every player hoping to be the next gold bracelet winner. One of the most recent WSOP gold bracelet winners is no stranger to a WSOP win. Joe McKeehen won the Main Event of the WSOP back in 2015 and found himself once again in the winner’s seat after outlasting the 120 player field in the $10,000 Hold’em Championship to earn the title win.

In 2015, Joe was able to earn over $7.6 million for the Main Event win and snagged his first gold bracelet. This year, Joe won the $10,000 Hold’em Championship tournament, adding his second gold bracelet and $311,817 to his total career tournament winnings.

The final day of poker play during the tournament would see several top pros in the mix. Daniel Negreanu, Shaun Deeb, J.C. Tran, Sorel Mizzi and more were able to make it to the final day of game play. However, in the end, it would be Joe versus Jared Talarico with Joe holding a 3 to 2 chip lead.

The final hand would see Talarico go all-in after Joe kept grinding him down. Talarico had only one big blind left so he pushed with 4-3 off-suit. Joe called with 10-5 offsuit. The flop fell Q-J-8-5-A which gave Joe a pair of fives and the first place finish.
