A player who participated in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and was kicked out of a tournament, is now facing charges based on terrorist threats in Las Vegas. Kenneth Strauss, age 45, was arrested in late July off the Vegas Strip at the Trump International Hotel after police were notified that a suspicious person had checked in to the facility.

Kicked out of Red Rock Hotel:

Strauss had apparently headed to the Trump property after being kicked out of the Red Rock Hotel. He was removed from the facility after a family accused him of trying to lure their eight-year-old child at the hotel pool.

Because of the incident, Strauss was accused of trespassing and removed from the premises. The allegation regarding the child is still being investigated.

According to news3lv

The Vegas Metropolitan Police Department contacted the Trump Hotel security department later on in the evening stating that if Strauss began to act erratically or make threats to contact the department. It was not long after that the Venetian Hotel was subject to a suicidal call which officers later learned was Strauss, who had registered as a guest of the property.

Strauss told security of the Venetian that he would harm anyone who came near him along with himself. Once officers arrived on site, the player had already left. Police were able to track him to the Trump Hotel where he was taken into custody. He was charged based on his activity at the Venetian as well as Twitter posts that were of a threatening nature that police had discovered.

Threatening Activity:

Of the Twitter posts, one stated that all the casinos that had banned Strauss would be ‘destroyed effective immediately.’ After an interview with Strauss, he was arrested for Terroristic Threats based on what he said at the Venetian.

While in custody, Strauss had been able to access his phone and used that time to delete contacts as well as messages and tweets. He told police he did not know his password and returned the phone to officials.

This is not the only time the WSOP player has acted erratically in Las Vegas. In early July, he was charged with trespassing at the Rio Hotel and Casino for exposing himself. He was playing in the WSOP at the time. He was also given trespassing notice at the Luxor for exposing himself while at the craps table.
