Yggdrasil has partnered with ReelPlay to release the latest installment of developer Games Lab’s innovative Towering Pays mechanic, injecting it into a slot inspired by the legend of King Arthur and the mythical sword, Excalibur. The GATI-powered game titled Towering Pays Excalibur brings a powerful new Quest Bet option to players along with a €162,500 max win!
The medium-high volatility video slot starts in a 5-reel, 3-row formation and during play grows up to 8 rows high as part of Games Lab’s Towering Pays feature. The numbers of rows and the corresponding number of paylines increase simultaneously. The default 3-row height and 15 paylines increases to a max 65 paylines.
Game play and symbols:
Available on all devices, Towering Pays Excalibur is featured-packed and has a 95.58 percent return to player (RTP). Landing three to five symbol combinations across the paylines from the leftmost side forms a win.
The game’s ten lower paying symbols include Clubs, Hearts, Spades and Diamond card suits, wolve shield and horse shields and high pays Lancelot, Guinevere, Merlin, Lady of the Lake. The King Arthur symbols serves as the game’s wild and substitutes for any pay symbol. It can land on any reel and if five appear on a payline, it pays 10x the bet.
When the powerful Excalibur appears on the reels, it will change into stacked matching symbols, increasing win potential. If however, they [Excalibur symbols] land across a winning combination, the player moves on the next stage of the game. When that happens, the reel set grows, adding an extra row to the top of the grid, up to 5×8.
During base game play, players can pay 15 units to purchase a Quest Bet, which activates a hold and spin feature. The feature is triggered if at least six shields land on a single spin, or via the feature wheel.
When three feature wheels land, the game’s wheel is fully activated, with four wheel levels available. These levels award a variety of win spins, better feature wheel, or extra spins.
Triggering the Avalon feature happens when Excalibur lands on at least one position on reels 1, 2 and 3 in the 5×8 grid. Each of the four individual extra spins available, including Lancelot, Merlin, Arthur and Camelot, have increasing prize multipliers, longer spins with Excalibur present, and additional modifiers for even bigger wins.
Depending on the jurisdiction, players can also choose the Buy Feature which takes them directly to the bonus round.
