Galaxy Macau has announced that the second phase of their current investment project will focus on services in the non-casino sector. This phase will focus on targeting middle class individuals from the interior regions of China with shopping facilities, restaurants, entertainment venues and exhibition/convention services.
On March 31st, Galaxy Macau held a press conference to reveal the project and detailed the second phase of the project to include facilities with a total cost of $5.55 billion. When the new additions are made to the holiday complex being created by Galaxy Macau, the total space will be doubled to 1.1 million square meters.
In the second stage, the property will have six major hotels with 4,000 guest spaces, including guest rooms, suites and villas. Space will also be made for exhibitions, conventions and banquets. Performance venues, restaurants, bars and additional dining options will also be added, along with fashion stores for shopping.
Galaxy Entertainment Group will open Galaxy Macau Phase II (of IV) along with the Broadway Macau on May 27, 2015.
