British online gaming software developer Bede Gaming was recently honored at the 17th Annual Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 Awards held at The Brewery in London.

Compiled by British research company Fast Track and published each September by British newspaper The Sunday Times, the Tech Track 100 ranks Britain’s 100 private technology, media and telecoms (TMT) companies based on their average sales growth over the previous three years leading up to the award year.

Placed 76 at the league table, Bede was recognized at this year’s awards dinner for its impressive successes and growth since the company’s inception in 2012. Bede currently powers some of the world’s biggest brands and every month processes tens of millions of transactions. Last year, Bede’s gambling platform handled £2.5bn of wagers for clients across North America and Europe. Bede’s clients include the British gambling company, The Rank Group, owner and operator of Grosvenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo and Rank Interactive. More than 700 games are offered by Bede from third party suppliers, as well as slots, bingo and table games which were developed by the company’s staff at its various European offices. In 2016, Bede’s sales hit £8.2m.

The awards were attended by 240 guests, including chairmen, founders and FD’s of the 100 featured companies and celebrated some of the industry’s most exciting and outstanding privately-owned businesses in the TMT sector. The 100 company’s total turnover features in this year’s league table was £2.9bn. That figure has increased significantly from £414m in 2001, demonstrating the growing success of the tech sector.

In his introduction to the 240 attendees, Gary Head, MD, Alternative Distribution at Hiscox Insurance, said, “The companies making up this year’s league table are testimony to the great depth of entrepreneurial experience in the TMT industry. Such a breadth of skills and experience matters more than ever, as the widespread adoption of internet-based technology means almost all businesses are tech companies now. Congratulations to all the companies featured this year,” according to a Bede blog post.

Also commenting on the honor, Michael Brady, CEO of Bede Gaming, added, “It was great to meet with such titans of the British technology industry and a proud day for Bede Gaming to be in such company. The breadth of knowledge in the room was inspiring and my thanks go out to The Sunday Times and Hiscox for this recognition.

Bede Gaming continues to grow an innovative technology business to service the International Gaming market whilst staying close to its roots in the North East of England,” Brady said.
