Just a few days ago, Boyd Gaming and the FanDuel Group announced plans to launch a brand-new online casino in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. While the site will be new, the name will not. The venture will use the iconic gaming brand known as Stardust Casino, a brand owned by Boyd. The Stardust was a casino located in Las Vegas that was acquired by Boyd Gaming and then imploded back in 2007.

Hopeful for an April Launch

Both operators are hopeful that the new Stardust online casinos will launch next month. Of course, this will only occur if approval is secured in both states. FanDuel will rebrand its Betfair Casino in the Garden State to the Stardust name. In Pennsylvania, a brand-new platform will be launched. Players will be able to use one app in both states for mobile gaming, offered on iOS and Android devices.

The proprietary front-end, apps, and player account management system of FanDuel will be used to build the online casino platform. Players of the site in both states can use the Boyd Gaming B Connected player loyalty program to earn points and tier credits while playing online.

Players will have access to quality online casino games including slots, roulette, video poker, blackjack, baccarat and live dealer options. Responsible gaming measures will be in place to provide player protections along with the same banking methods known to FanDuel customers for easy withdrawals.

President of the FanDuel Group, Amy Howe, commented on the new venture by stating that the new Stardust Casino in New Jersey will have the same great games that players found at Betfair but with a new look that captures the essence of the Stardust brand.

Players located in other states can access the Stardust Social Casino. This is a free-to-play option that can be downloaded in the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

Continued Partnership

This is not the first time that FanDuel and Boyd Gaming have worked together. Late last year, the two announced a deal in Iowa, launching a sports betting application. In September, iOS and Android users gained access to the FanDuel Sportsbook app after registering for a new account at the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque or Northwood.

The app offers convenient features for sports bettors including around-the-clock payouts, live streaming of sports events, and more. FanDuel launched services in the state just over a year after online and mobile sports betting was legalized in the state.
