After announcing the opening date last month, today in southwest England, Century Casino Bath is celebrating its Grand Opening at 9pm. Owned and operated by Century Casinos Inc. (NASDAQ: CNTY), the casino is located in the Georgian spa town of Bath and part of a mixed leisure development.

Overlooking the Theatre Royal and Saw Close, Century Casino Bath is open to everyone, registration or membership are no longer requirements. Offering visitors a classic casino experience, the 15,000 square foot casino spans three floors and features 36 slot machines, 18 gaming tables and 24 automated live gaming terminals.

Along with gaming, the main floor features multiple large screen TVs, a spacious lounge with a full-service bar, cash desk and a grand staircase that leads to the second level. The second level overlooks the main floor below and offers electronic roulette, blackjack and three card poker, along with a second cash desk, a terrace, and a spacious lounge area with a second full-service bar serving tasty cocktails and snacks. Finally, the uppermost level features the Beau Nash Suite, which consists of a second terrace, a lounge area and a private bar. The suite can be rented out for private events, such as anniversaries, retirements and birthdays.

While there is a wide range of gaming available, gambling isn’t mandatory.

Announced earlier this month, the mixed leisure development in Bath will also include a four-star 147-room Z Hotel, reportedly expected to open this fall. The new Z Hotel is in addition to those already in Liverpool, London and Glasgow and reportedly offers guests a stay in a prime location at “out-of-town prices. In addition to the boutique hotel that forms part of the new casino complex, visitors can enjoy a Byron burger restaurant and an Italian Zizzi restaurant.

The casino will be open this evening to VIPs from 6 to 9pm at which time it opens to the general public. The casino’s regular hours are 24 hours on Fri & Sat. and midday until 6am Sun. – Thurs.
