After global casino operator Century Casinos Inc. (NASDAQ: CNTY) announced last month that its Century Casino Bath property would be celebrating its grand opening on May 25, it has been revealed this week that the 149-room Z Bath boutique hotel that forms part of the new casino complex should open this fall.

Self-styled as an ‘independent city boutique hotel group,’ the new Z Hotel is in addition to those already in Liverpool, London and Glasgow and reportedly offers guests a stay in a prime location at “out-of-town prices. The brand was launched in November 2011 as the brainchild of former COO for UK-based hotel company Thistle Hotels, Bev King, and his partners Rich Meehan, John Raymond and Jamie Goldstein.

News agency Somerset Live quotes a spokesman for Z Hotels as saying, “All rooms feature en-suite power showers, hand-crafted beds, large HD TVs with Sky Sports, BT Sports and Sky Movies and complimentary Wi-Fi.”

Head of Visit Bath, the town’s tourism board, chief executive David James, reportedly said that believes that the additional lodgings along with the casino attraction will call more visitors to Bath. “The casino is an exciting new development for the city and we fully support this new entertainment complex opening in Bath,” said James. “We certainly anticipate that the casino will attract new business/ visitors to the city.”

Located in the Georgian spa town of Bath in southwest England and part of a mixed leisure development, the casino will reportedly span three floors, which will each feature card games and roulette with a total of 18 gaming tables, 35 slot machines, 24 automated live gaming terminals and a luxury cocktail lounge complete with a balcony, which overlooks the Theatre Royal and Saw Close.

Adding to the gaming amenities is the Beau Nash Suite, “an exclusive, elegant top floor room with its own balcony, available for private hire and gaming,” according to Century Casinos.

Century Casino Bath opens on Friday, May 25 from 9pm.
