Austrian game developer Greentube is expanding its reach in the German market and keeping it all in the family in doing so after taking its content live with Novoline, the online brand of Löwen Entertainment, which is a subsidiary of Novomatic AG Group.
The local operator is the Novomatic Interactive division’s first German B2B partner to make the firm‘s “blue-chip” titles, from within a portfolio of more than 165 games, available in the Western European country. Currently, many of the top-performers in the catalog are only able to be enjoyed on a select few websites in Germany.
Classics games including deluxe versions of Lucky Lady’s Charm, Book of Ra, and Sizzling Hot, along with more recent releases from the Diamond Link and Cash Connection series, such as Mighty Emperor and others, are now accessible to Novoline customers.
Just one in a series of commercial agreements Greentube has inked since July 1st, 2021 when the new German regulated iGaming market came into effect courtesy of the New State Treaty on Gambling (GluNeuRStV) permitting nationwide online gaming.
Expanded reach:
Seen as a “key territory” in its growth strategy, the company made quick work of securing entry into the region once the important market opened, having entered into a “milestone partnership” with OnlineCasino Deutschland AG and in September partnering with German operator Jokerstar GmbH, the new digital interest of established land-based operator Kling Automaten GmbH.
Explaining the significance of their presence and expanded reach in the region, Michael Bauer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Games Officer for Greentube said…
“Germany is a key market for us going forward and with our content already popular among local brick-and-mortar players we are excited to expand our presence online through this deal with NOVOLINE. As the first Greentube partner to offer NOVOMATIC’s blue-chip titles in Germany, apart from our own brand StarGames, this partnership is an important step for us as we gain a foothold in this newly-regulated and exciting market.”
Content availability:
As mentioned, Novoline is the online brand of Rhineland-Palatinate-headquartered Löwen Entertainment, a leading manufacturer of gaming machines and responsible for 520-plus arcades throughout Germany, its home base. The company’s customers are already familiar with Novomatic’s immersive content, which, for the first time, can be offered online. Accordign to Greentube, players can register for the now available online offer either via novoline.de or at one of over 1,500 partner gaming arcades situated across the country.
Also commenting on the commercial deal, Oliver Bagus, Director of Löwen Entertainment, said after having “revolutionized the arcade market” with new multi-games and Novomatic’s games content in 2006, they now want to repeat the “technological revolution” online.
“We are thrilled to be one of the first operators to offer players classic titles such as Book of Ra and Sizzling Hot, as well as having the biggest selection of Greentube games on the market with more than 165 titles available.”
