The KPMG eGaming Summit was held at the Sunborn Hotel in Gibraltar on 21st April, and featured about 30 keynote speakers and 250 delegates. KPMG has now released a 52 page report which covers the various panel discussions and presentations highlighting the event in detail. Also included in the report are the results of interactive polls taken throughout the day.
Some of the topics covered include alternative payment solutions, crowdfunding, the VAT, potential impacts of Brexit, and gambler well being. For those reflecting on key issues that impact the eGaming space, and those who were unable to attend the April event, the report offers a treasure trove of pertinent information as well as intriguing and stimulating opinions from gambling industry leaders.
Continent 8 Technologies of Douglas, Isle of Man sponsored the report which is available for download here. Richard Ebbutt, Head of Marketing at Continent 8, commented, “Many interesting topics came up during this year’s eSummit but one resounding cry was for industry collaboration. Whether you are a small operator, facing a hit by regulatory changes, or an industry giant concerned about the ever-changing political and economic environment, it’s clear we can all embrace the challenges and achieve more by working together as one cohesive sector.”
The next Isle of Man eGaming Summit will be held on 8th September, giving those participating in the eGaming industry another opportunity to discuss continuing issues and the future direction of the industry.
Micky Swindale, Director of KPMG Isle of Man and Gibraltar has been influential in developing the eGaming Summit format. He said of the September event, “The timing of our next eGaming Summit is ideal for the industry to come together to discuss the opportunities, risks and next moves available to the eGaming industry and its service providers in a post-Brexit world. It will form part of a wider eSummit event, with ‘KPMG Disrupt’ and ‘KPMG Enterprise’ operating on-site, so there will a variety of technology and growth focused presentations and workshops on offer to ensure attendees make good use of their time.”
Summit sessions and masterclasses will cover key eGaming sector risks, merger and acquisition commentary and predictions, along with regulatory challenges and opportunities. The overall program will take in Fintech, Data, cyber security and the blockchain.
