Swedish casino game pioneer, NetEnt, has recently announced the winning of several accolades at this year’s EGR B2B awards ceremony through an official press release. The company notes its success at the EGR B2B as another milestone in what has been a very successful year for the Swedish studio, according to the press release.
The awards ceremony is an annual industry event that celebrates the best B2B (business to business) service providers and operators in the iGaming sector. This year’s event took place at the Hurlingham Club in London on June 6th, where NetEnt won in three out of the 10 categories they were nominated for. The awards the company received were for “RNG Casino Supplier of the Year”, “Mobile Supplier of the Year,” and “Innovation in RNG Casino Software.” The list of nominations included, “Live Casino Supplier of the Year,” a title that went to Evolution Gaming, and “Slot Supplier of the Year,” which was won by Yggdrasil Gaming.
Winning the awards rounds up a year of successes for the revolutionary game company, as they’ve probed several new markets in the past 12 months, including Serbia, Mexico, and Bulgaria, as well as made a foray into the virtual reality sector by announcing the first VR real money slot game. This year also saw the launch of their “employer branding campaign” called The Challenge – a web reality series with 4 NetEnt employees who embark on a mission to climb the European Alps helped by the remainder of the company’s staff.
NetEnt CEO, Per Eriksson, shared his thoughts on winning the awards by saying that it was immensely satisfying for the company to see their achievements recognized by the industry and their peers. He adds that they were especially thrilled to win these exact awards since mobile, innovation, and RNG casinos were the core areas of the NetEnt business.
