Last week, the Indiana Gaming Commission released the monthly revenue report for casinos in Indiana, with the five casinos in the Northwest region of the state bringing in just over $75 million for June. This was a little over 6% more than the $70.96 million earned in the same month in 2016. Three of the fie casinos were able to see their revenues increase for June while two saw a slight drop in earnings.

The Ameristar Casino was able to see a significant increase in revenue earnings when comparing year-over-year totals. For June, Ameristar earned $17.81 million which is quite a bit more than the $16.38 million earned in 2016. Blue Chip Casino located in Michigan City also earned a nice increase for June, with $13.05 million this year over the $12.49 million from 2016. The Horseshoe Hammond saw a more than 11% increase in June earnings with $32.33 million earned. Far better than the $29.18 million from last year.

On the downside, the Majestic Star casinos did not fare so well. The Majestic Star I earned $7.32 million which is under the $7.50 million earned in 2016. The Majestic Star II was down from $5.41 million in June of 2016 to $4.68 million this year.
